HIPANDA FLAGSHIP : THE ANTI-HELLO KITTY ESTABLISHED IN TOKYO
The brand HiPanda is known in the West for being a symbol of Chinese’ youth rebellion.
In Tokyo, one can live incredible retail experiences ! HiPanda flagship in Tokyo is no exception. The brand has actually opened a revolutionary flagship that uses virtual reality ! Once in front of the flagship, use your smartphone to visualize the panda coming to you in a shower of confetti. Then, when entering the store, a tablet will be given to you. You will be able to follow the panda throughout the store. You will follow him through a personalized path : hiding behind the clothes, making clothes move, disappearing in a spooky haze or having fun in a ball pool. The store was designed by the retail design agency Curiosity. Gwenael Nicolas, the founder, said that the store is “an experiential space, accessible and inspirational for all, which redefines our expectation of retail experience’.
